International Woman's Day 2018

Today is International Women's Day (IWD) - a day for celebration, empowerment and raising awareness for women's rights, and the wonderful achievements women are making around the globe.

For this blog post, I thought it would be apt to showcase some talented and amazing women in the field of Science, and celebrate the contribution they are making to the world of research. To mix it up a bit, and reinforce the international theme of the day, each of these women are from different parts of the world and are researching very different things. Please also hit the 'Fresh Perspectives' link in the menu bar to read about all the other amazing female scientists that have been previously featured on the blog.
